THE NFL HAS SHORTENED ITS 2020 PRESEASON TO TWO GAMES, DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC. MOST PLAYERS WILL STILL REPORT TO TRAINING CAMP ON JULY 28TH, BUT THE FIRST PRESEASON GAMES WON’T BE PLAYED UNTIL THE WEEKEND OF AUGUST 20TH. SOME RE-SHUFFLING OF THE ORIGINAL PRESEASON SCHEDULE FOR WEEKS 2 AND 3 ARE UNDERWAY, AS EACH TEAM WILL PLAY ONE HOME GAME AND ONE ON THE ROAD. THE NFL AND THE NFLPA CONTINUE TO DISCUSS PROTOCOLS FOR REOPENING OF TEAM FACILITIES, TESTING PROGRAMS AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO PLAYING AMID A PANDEMIC. READ MORE AT WWW.ESPN.COM.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL BEGAN ITS STRANGE 2020 ODYSSEY ON WEDNESDAY.  IF CLEARED, WORKOUTS WILL BEGIN ON FRIDAY IN MAJOR LEAGUE BALLPARKS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. PLAYERS WILL GET THEIR TEMPERATURES CHECKED AND BE TESTED FOR COVID-19 STARTING ON THEIR ARRIVAL DAY AT CAMP AND CONTINUING EVERY OTHER DAY. ANY TEMPERATURE ABOVE 100.4 AND THEY’LL BE SENT HOME.
