COUNCILMEMBERS DISCUSS WATER RATE ISSUES

One of the issues discussed at Tuesday evening’s Huntsville City Council session regarded amending the Schedule of Fees and Charges for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Budget to change the multiplier on outside city limit water rates from 1.75 to 1.50. Several citizens from the Timberwilde subdivision, who would be affected by this, were present at the meeting to address councilmembers.

Ward #4 Councilmember Joe Rodriguez, among other councilmembers, addressed the issue . . . .

Indeed, Larry Stevenson from Timberwilde spoke to councilmembers on the matter in reference to the many economic effects of the rate change . . . .

Councilmembers approved the lower rate.
