HOUSE MAJORITY LEADER STENY HOYER ATTEMPTS TO PASS A RESOLUTION ON 25TH AMENDMENT MONDAY

On Monday, Democrats in the House tried to pass a resolution requests Vice President Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to have President Trump removed from office.

House Majority Leader Democrat Steny Hoyer put forth a unanimous consent request on the House floor to pass the resolution . . . .

West Virginia Republican Alex Mooney made known his opposition. This blocked the resolution from moving ahead.

The House was scheduled to try to again pass the bill by way of roll call vote this morning. If the bill is passed, Democrats will would allow Vice President pence 24 hours to act. If he does not, they will likely move ahead with an impeachment vote later in the week.
