A WILLIS WOMAN WAS KILLED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION NEAR WILLIS

The Courier reports that a woman was killed and a teenager was hospitalized following a head-on accident near Willis Wednesday night.

A 28-year-old man was driving a Silverado pickup when he fell asleep and traveled into oncoming traffic on FM 1484. Fifty-three-year-old Pamela Jean Dunlap from Willis, who was on a motorcycle, died after being hit by the pickup. A 15-year-old girl from Willis was riding on the motorcycle and was life-flighted in critical condition to HCA Houston Healthcare in Conroe. According to the Montgomery County Police reporter, she underwent surgery. The Montgomery Police reporter also reports that the driver of the pickup was tested for drugs and found not to be impaired.

The accident remained under investigation by DPS following their report.
